As a functional designer and holistic design consultant Tyler focuses on design to optimize space for enhancing occupant health, wellness, and spirituality. I define Functional Design as design with health and wellness in mind; it is a marriage of practical design applications and functional health principles to create more optimal environments for habitation. Functional design combines passive green design strategies, quantum theory, and sustainable construction methodology to culminate in a holistic approach to design. This includes things like natural light, air quality, temperature control as well as thoughtful layout that promotes movement throughout the day (or night). This modality also looks at how we can create an environment where people feel safe, healthy, and happy to live their lives every day. These are all things I consider when working with my clients to create spaces they'll love living in. My goal is to solve problems and simultaneously design spaces that are beautiful as well as practical!
